Version 2.6.0 of ALBERT, the pixel art editor for creating extended Commodore 64 images, is now available on its official homepage.

This is a substantial update delivering the following changes:
- Ported to GTK version 3.24
- Added the option to toggle between the native macOS menu bar and the application’s integrated menu
- Added the option to toggle between native file chooser dialogs and GTK’s file chooser dialogs on Windows and macOS
- Custom icons are correctly displayed in the side bar of file chooser dialogs on macOS too
- Applied Joachim’s ALBERT theme for GTK version 3
- Renamed the Preferences menu and dialog to Settings
- Fixed mirror mode preview showing the wrong region when drawing incrementally with CRT emulation enabled
- Added the NTSC palette
Binaries are provided for Windows (x86_64), macOS (ARM64), and Linux (x86_64). Also, for Linux users, Docker images are published on Docker Hub here.
