The program

BT-ECG is an experimental program Luigi Di Fraia recently wrote (within the 23th and 25th of July, 2004) for a not yet official work of Thesis at the Biomedical Engineering Unit in the Dept. of Electronic Engineering of the University of Naples "Federico II".
  Its purpose is to display an enhanced ECG waveform directly on a PC (running MS Windows® 98, ME, 2000 or XP) screen and provide some detailed information (as global parameters and automatic diagnostic warnings).
  The applied parts are not directly connected to a PC, but data is transmitted/received by using a Bluetooth®-based (wireless) hardware.

This program can work in two modes:

• Read a sampled ECG from a file (whose structure is not yet definitive) and display it. The ECG can be optionally copied to Windows' Clipboard and used within any DOC file to document a diagnosis.[ACTIVE]
    This mode may be useful for doctors to check ECGs they received from patients having the BT-ECG hardware at home and running the BT-ECG software on their PC.
    The BT-ECG software will be capable to send a file via e-mail and estabilish a server-based connection between patients and their own doctor, or estabilish a peer2peer connection with a local ASL point/Hospital.
• Display the waveform associated to the sampled ECG coming to the PC's Bluetooth® port from the BT-ECG hardware.[NOT ACTIVE]
    This mode may be useful for surgery/out-patient's departments where ECG monitoring is required.
